Projects related to the Bologna Process by Universities Austria

Universities Austria is currently conducting three projects on specific issues of the Bologna Process. The topics of the projects are of great importance to national and international discussions (e.g. Bologna Process, Lisbon Strategy, discussions within Austrian universities and the EUA). These are undergoing a substantial transformation process right now. This project is intended to be from universities for universities. It aims at supporting Austria’s public universities in taking an active role in these current debates.

The three project fields are
• Doctoral programmes
• Employability of BA and MA degree holders
• Non-formal and informal learning


The main objectives of the Bologna specific projects are
• Services in the project fields to the 21 Austrian public universities
All universities are welcome to participate!
• Support for activities, information exchange and networking
• Depending on the project, there will be workshops and/or publications

Project duration
The project started in the beginning of May 2008 and will last for about two years.

Co-operations
The project by Universities Austria is co-financed by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research. It is lead-managed of Universities Austria and conducted in co-operation with the 21 public universities.

Result presentation
The results of the workshops and projects will be published on the website of Universities Austria.
