was born in Judenburg/Styria in 1967.

He studied Law at the University of Graz and held an assistantship at the law school there.
He was legal advisor at the Austrian Rectors' Conference and from 2002-2003 was Acting Secretary General of the Austrian Rectors' Conference according to the University Organisation Act of 1993.
Since 2003 he has been Secretary General of the non-profit association Austrian Rectors' Conference / Universities Austria in Vienna.
